If you added a s/charger AFTER a h/c/i swap, chime in please.

I did my h/c/i swap about 4 years ago and it got me in the 300rwhp range. Looking at getting a Vortech w/ approx. 8 psi, 42 lb. inj.'s, etc, etc. at the end of the year (big raise coming ). I already know I'll need a re-tune.

Folks that have gone this route, what kind of results did you have?

Bout 455HP with 11 psi. Get it tuned right away. I blew the heads off my block after just a couple of days because I'm an idiot. Those 42lbs injectors are tricky on our EEC's. Cold and hot starts are a pain. I had a great time with my blower however I had a better time with my N/A set up. I say this because I could get in the car beat the hell out of it and not worry about anything. With the blower I was constantly watching guages (boost, fuel) worrying about the temp outside and all that. It was a pain for me. I'm going back to simplier times. Doing an N/A 347.

Good insight... I have been debating S/C route or stroker... I certainly don't want to create a high maint. car (constantly monitoring). I am in the stage of life that I want to enjoy that which I have and live more simply. Thanks!

Both posts very insightful! Hmmmmm, never thought of it that way. I do love how I can just turn the key, drive a hour & a half to the track with the a/c kick'n, run the $hit out of it, & go home. Or just go on long Sunday trips with it. But after 4 years the car feels slow & I'm looking at stepping up the horsepower ( a lot )
