Ok, well as some know, I did the v8/5 spd. swap to my 95'. I used a 88' motor and tranny, well I'm to the point of hooking up wires and crisscrossing the two years. Well, what is the color of the ignition power wire that goes to the starter solenoid (the wire will be on the v6 chassis still because the only harness from the v8 is the engine bay one)? I need the wire that will be able to turn it over by key along with all the other wires I need to hook up. Any help is appreciated as I'm not to bright with this wiring stuff. Thanks!

What harnesses are you using... 88-93 or 94-95??? Need to know that... I'll have to get my book out on the color once I determine what harnesses you changed..
Danny

If you just changed Injector harness you will also need to swap computer harness, battery harness, tranny harness, also.. But like said waiting on your reply.

errr... got me stumped on this one.. I've never used the Fox Body harnesses... I always use the Sn95 Harnesses and leave the fox setup alone...hmmm... are you using the starter relay that foxes used??

Yea, I'm using the starter solenoid from the 88'. On the v6 it was connected to the starter, on the v8 it is seperate, so I mounted it up on the inside drivers side fender.

The V8 one is already in....but would it really make it much easier to use the v6? And does it have enough torque...etc? AND do the teeth and everything match up? Lol sorry for all the questions, just I never thought about using the V6 one.

reason for the V6 one is there would be no need for the Starter relay.. You could skip that... V6 and V8 starters are the same. basically run you positive from your battery to the fuse box that was orginally in the car, then run a positive down to the starter.. there a single wire on the starter I will have to tell you were it goes as soon as I get home... as long as you still have the V6 battery harness laying around you will be good to go because the wire and connector you need will be there.

You have a instant messanger? It would be easier to talk from there. Yes, I have the v6 harness, but I've kinda mixed and matched what I need from the v8 one....and I can bypass the solenoid (by using a jumper from one stud on it to the other) and it cranks right over...so I think if I just get it hooked up so I have power from the ignition I'll be ok. Just so I can turn it by key. I will be leaving tomm on vacation until the 10th so I won't be able to talk for awhile but when I get home you can help me out some more that would be great. Thanks!
