a COP setup is pretty stout as they come, unless youre getting ignition problems due to boost blowing spark out or need a stronger spark for lots of nitrous(like way more than your stock bottom end will ever take).

You can get upgraded spring connectors for $99, the connector that goes from the coil to the spark plug.

Kilgore, are those any better than stock ? Also, are these things similar or at all like the COP connectors that is offered by Granatelli motorsports ? I have the Plasma booster now, and I'm going to install it. I know you should solder the connections for best results, so I'll do that. I'm just wondering if I can upgrade with anything else that will work.

BTW, what is this "boost a spark" from KB ?

Yeah, but I suck at wiring, and I'm too afraid to try and solder the connections myself. I was going to have it installed with a list of other parts by a mechanic I know. He would probably be better at it than me.

I know ACCEL is in the process of releasing an aftermarket COP setup for our cars. I really wish I knew more about it because im in the market for some myself.

Yeah, I saw those Accel COP things mentioned at RPMoutlet. I'm hoping they'll come out soon, and for a decent price. I know Granatelli has released a full kit, but there's no proven results with them just yet. I heard White99GT(Bill) over at MD say that this weekend some guys with blown setups are getting dyno test results for the Granatelli COP system. Hopefully, we'll get more feedback soon.

$425. not sure if it is worth it or not. they say they are good for 8hp minimum. I don't know if that is just 8hp peak though and not much lower in the band. dyno numbers can be confusing. could be kind of like shortie headers give you power on the dyno but not much et wise.

there is a group purchase over at MD

Thanks Hognutz. I'm aware of the Group purchase going on over at MD. If anyone else has anything to share, please do. This is a good thread.
