Im confused

My 84 capri has been giving me starting issues since I installed the 351 motor. After running the car for 20 minutes the starter cable and both battery cables get very warm and car acts if the battery is dead which it isn't I test the battery. After it sits for 2 hrs. it starts with no problems. This is what Ive done to the car....... New battery cables, new cable going to starter, 2 wires going to alt from battery, new battery, new alternator, no corrosion on any wires or cables, new starter cylenoid, new voltage regulator, new starter. I love my car but I cant enjoy it any idea's?????

wires getting hot indicates resistance in the form of to small of a wire carrying power or poor connection at either end of said wire. A possible reason it stops working right is as it heats, the ability of the wires to carry current is decreased, it is a vicious cycle.
