heh ya, but i think its beyond chatter and beyond not using a torque wrench i know its important,but i havent had this bad of a problem not using one before.A chatter would be great LOL,but its morso a grinding.Now you have me wondering and our right i don't want to pull it back out man.....

Take it back apart and look at EVERYTHING. Drop the tranny, remove the pressure plate and flywheel. Inspect the drive shaft bearings and Yoke. Ensure that the alignment pins are in the correct places. Is your flywheel new or resurfaced? It should be one of those.

Check the throwout bearing and tranny snout bearing. shake rattle and roll all attaching pieces.

lol... tranny snout bearing...ya did you install a new pilot bearing or at least inspect the old one?

i needed one (driveshaft spacer) for my setup which is the same as yours except mine is a tko500 contact d&d performance they install and sell these trannys and can tell you for sure click on link below. but i would say yes...how did you mount the tranny at the tranny mount?

Did you install the clutch disk so that the hub springs face the rear of the car like they are supposed to? That is one thing that will make a clutch chatter everytime.

thats still wrong man...anyway i just put her up on stands in the back and there is no problem,but once on the ground and i try to take off forward or reverse there is alot of binding and shaking...thanks GT for stickin with me so long on the post

i bought mine from a different source and d&d helped me to buy the parts needed to install and informed me all needed to install. parts needed was the foxbody clutch fork,tranny mount relocator,driveshaft spacer and yolk....i bought these items from them and they talked me through install and what to look for...

i called d&d and told them what i thought about not helping you, they did say to try to get help from where you purchased tranny but if they cant get help they would be glad to help you...i told them i refer alot of people to their buisness because they helped me in my installation and i was very satisfied but if it caused problems i would stop...and they said they would help if you could not get help from where you purchased it and i told him i did not buy mine from D&D but they helped me and i did purchase parts from them...and may make a sale in your case.sorry about that bro ill think twice about refering them now.

The slip-yoke must be able to stroke freely on the transmission output shaft without bottoming out while maintaining maximum spline contact. Therefore, proper driveshaft length is critical. check for bottoming out...

"wearing in" isn't a great solution. Did you index the bellhousing? I have the aluminium one which is supposidly not needed but I indexed mine anyways and it was barely in spec. You got the FMS adjustable crossmember but did you have it spot welded after you got it in? I didn't need a spacer for mine but I believe you said you have a sn95 driveshaft... I don't know the difference between the two. It might be longer than the fox driveshaft possibly. Taking it apart would be ideal and starting over... sorry to say.

o.k car is torn back down again(suprisingly 30mins to tear down) in hopes to fix the situation.Think I found the problem the flywheel wasn't ballanced to 50oz.I'm going to national drivtrain tomm to see what the balance is of both my old flywheel and new one and mabey even the driveshaft to be sure.I reved the car up over 3K and it vibrated/shook when it wasn't even in gear so Doug at SUTTON High Performance(their mustang is covered on the new muscle mustangs if no one noticed)told me it may be the flywheel and they might of gave me a 28.5oz balance instead of a 50oz.It looks exacly how he said the new flywheel has smaller weight.Now the question is is there certain way to put the bastard on now?does it throw off the weight?

oh ya guys I was looking at the heater core threads...11hours!! and 6hours?I just did it in an hour and a half while shootin the **** with my buddy.(very easy)(no cutting)
ya 95GT for sure if this shi t happens again I will give you a buzz don't have many close people to share tech with localy.

Wow, a 28oz flywheel? I never even gave that one a single thought. If the new one doesn't solve the problem, shoot me a PM or something. I'm not looking to profit from this a bit, just figured a fresh set of eyes would help with seeing anything out of the ordinary. It's only like 25-30 minutes from here to Midway, so I could check it out no problem. I guess it's a good thing you decided to tear it back down, huh? Oh, the flywheel can only go on one way. The holes look like they're drilled evenly, but they're spaced so the bolts will only go one way.

Ya man for sure,but today is Saturday and national drivetrain is closed!So i'm screwed again and sunday and monday.so I gada start back up on it tuesday really sucks.I wana know if the flywheel is not balanced correctly.Now what i'm not sure of is I think it bolts up any way.I thought it was automatic that didn't?I will look again for sure tho.

bringing back up the subject.I get my flywheel tomarrow and need to know is there a certain way to install?Did a few clutches before and never had to worry about this before.I wen't to put old one back on and it went on any which way no offset pattern.
