im in the process of installing 410s and freshening up the rest of the rear.
my problem is I am missing 2 C clips,ive looked everywhere,been through the trash can with a fine tooth comb,there just nowhere in sight,its like they just walked away,soI guess the stealership is in order,are they gonna charge some crazy amount like $15 bux a piece or something ?

anyone in the south jersey area have a couple laying around ?

The clips come in packs of 4 so if for some reason your dealer does not stock them, you are getting 4. They aren't too expensive from what i remember.

its not really the money,but more of the time lost,because im pretty sure the dealer will have to order them.

I have a big plastic planter full of nuts,bolts and such,I guess ill dump it out and look in there, maybe theres a couple in there from bygone days,but I dont hold out much hope.

OBTW, how did you remove the c-clips? Pull them out with a magent? Poke them out with a screw-driver? How did you catch the old gear oil? Did you look there?

The c-clips had to be removed before the half shafts were taken out. What did you do right before/after the half shafts were removed?

Might try a local salvage yard. The same c-clips are used across the Ford line. The salvage yard will not sell parts from a good rear end. So the challenge is to find a broken one.

I used needle nose pliers to pull em out,and I remember putting them in the differential cover.

my local dealer can have em by tomorrow, $9.70 a piece.
