congrats! I thought I was in the same position a few months back. I had the money ready, and had the phone numbers ready to call in the morning. Then...something happened that night, and I woke up, and decided to go with the vortech instead. I used the logic that I could get new wheels and the vortech for the same price as the KB, so thats what i did. Congrats though!

i was about to order mine about 2 days ago and decided against it and bought some nitrous and a few other things for my bike. I figure with a kb 2.1 my stang will never be faster than my bike lol.

I have started the install of my KB2.1L and it is going great, only problem is I have split 3 o-rings on the fuel injector. I just ordered new o-ring package of 12 $3.44 overnight shipping $40...The feel of getting the SC up and going priceless.

BTW the kits are going for $4999 plus $350 for CAI. I am going with 11PSI on my set-up.

You can't beat the price of a Vortech that's for sure. Kenne Bell makes a good product too. I ain't knocking them.

My motto: "Any boost, is good boost."

Skud is going to show some LS1's his taillights.

Ok, I was just going to ask if anyone was against getting the Big Air CIA. I thought it was like $850 though? That's what they have on their price sheet anyways..

I believe with anything greater than 9lbs, you need to get the big air/maf kit.

With 11lbs, I hope your motor is built.

I was just wondering if there was a better/different option than the KB intake. I'm going to run it on the 9lb pulley because I'm on the stock internals. I'll run it until it blows and then I'll be heading to VT.

I drive slow, so it should last awhile..

I've heard the Steeda intake works good with a KB.

I personally like the JLT CAI. They are cheaper than some of the other options mentioned in this thread, and they will paint it to match the color of your car for $40.00 more. They look great, and most CAI's function about the same it's all about how much you want to spend.

Well, we're all done with the dyno. Final numbers are:
576 HP
499 TQ
This was with 12-13lbs of boost! Thanks to Brent @ brenspeed!
If you do the mods that I have you will shatter the 500 HP mark! Good Luck!
