I just got back from from my deployment and im ready to start on my 91 gt, but im completely stuck. I want a street/strip 5.0. I have no idea what motor to even start with theres so many different routes.Money isnt too much of a issuse at this point.
Well im sticking with efi because i already have a 302 69 stang so i wanna go a different route. I do want it supercharged also. Any1 have any good motor suggestions? I not looking to run crazy 9 sec track times.
Well i had the chance to pick up a brand new 5.0 for 27k but i rather build something from scratch like i did my 69. im thinking 347 stroker with a kennebell SC
Money is allways an issue. You can make a honda go fast if you throw enough money at it. First thing you need to do is set price range. That will help tell you what way to go. Don't spend all of your money on the engine, there is a lot of supporting hardware you have to figure in to the price. What good is a $5000(I built mine a few.. years ago) eng if you blow the tranny/ rear the first time out.

I was thinking about getting a boss 302 short block from summit racing, is it worth it or should i get 1 used? i hate to go the same road as every1 and do the whole gt40 heads cobra intake but it seems it works any1 have any other opinions? the boss 302 block looks like a go for my 5.0
I was looking to start from scratch and build it up. I was also looking to keep it a ford motor. Like i said earlier im probly going with a boss 302 block, Now i was thinking for a tranny i would find the 6spd from a cobra any1 have any luck with those in a fox body?
This is bad when i have a 10grand to spend on my gt and now ive spent the past 4 hours on summit racing and im so tempted to add all this crap to my shopping cart haha, but i was looking at the 347 stroker blueprint motor any ideas on buying a short block and starting from there?
