hey guys im doing all the gaskets..and i wasnt sure if the main head bolts are re-torqueable.......do i need to get new ones, or can you re-use the old bolts??? thanks guys....

i think they are torque to yield bolts. get some new ones anyways, it cant hurt

are they arp's? you can reuse those a few times.

Get new ones. Spend the money on the ARP's.

why

why spend the extra money...what are ARP headbolts going to do for me? unless you can tell me that they are going to help keep my gaskets from blowing...he

That's very well what they might help you with...the ARP studs will help you out but their upwards of $90 bucks or so...but at the very least get the ARP head bolts for $40 bucks...could be some cheap insurance...and might help you keep from changing head gaskets...

they are not torque to yeild bolts. i reused mine and i know a lot of folks who reuse their pushrod engine's head bolts. use the stock ones.
