where are you located? i am in the process of replacing the the pilot bearing in my king, so the tranny is out of it but if you are close enough you can come take a look to see if it is of interest to you.

sorry dude just picked mine up freaked out when i found out it was a true king been working on it for about three years good luck there getting harder to find but they are out there. Owner: Greg Jeffrey
Year: 1978
Make: King Cobra
History: This 1978 King Cobra was picked up after watching it sit in a Trans shop for two years. The guy told me he was having a hard time getting parts for the blown rad 4 trans. I thought to myself, I know where to go for help and parts, and that was the beginning. It now has a 302 with a T-5 Trans and this thing just flies!

yes i am running the t-5. i had a small leak at the bearing retainer, when i pulled the tranny i was not real happy with the wear on the input shaft, so i had a new pilot bearing machined up based on the demensions on the .net site. i did have them make it slightly shorter since my t-5 is a 94-95 which has the slightly longer input shaft.

selling is an option but i am not out advertising. i have found myself with very little time over the past few years and it kills me to see the car sit. i took the tranny out last may and its still not back in the car yet. if someone came along that i knew would enjoy the car and not beat it to death and would place a decent value on it, then i could let it go.
