In need of help!!!!!

I was driving my brother's gt today when all i saw was smoke and i smelled antifreeze. Soo i pulled over and i popped the hood to find the temp sensor on the passenger side blew out of the intake. By that i mean that little hexagon thingy the it screws into came out.

I took it to my friend's repair shop i'm gonna let him look at it. Can i put some kind of sealant in there to stay or do i need a new upper intake? Which i'm really hoping not.
