OK, got a dilemma. Got the new motor in and reconnected everything. My ignition had a "slight" problem before where if you turn the key to CRANK, it wouldnt click the solenoid but everything else worked properly. So i wired it to a momentary switch and it ran fine. Well, that was last year.

NOW, when you turn the Key to ON and hit the momentary, the car cranks but doesn get any fuel. thei njectors dont squirt! Fuel pump and all works fine. However, if you turn the key to crank and hit the momentary, itll fire right up....but let off the key from CRANK to ON and itll die, killing power to the injectors....does ti everytime. In order to let the car stay running, it has to be in the CRANK position.

Whats wrong here?!?!?!? It has a new lock/tumbler and ignition switch from last November. It didnt do this before I tore it down for the winter and now it does. I took the 2-3 wiring harnesses off the main one over the winter to clean up the engine bay and paint it. reassembled it al, grounded it and it does this ****!

Whats the deal??? any help is appreciated. I want my car back! thanks.

Get a good shop manual for your car that has a wiring diagram. Check ALL the connectors that you disconnected to make sure the pins are making good contact, by back probing the connector on both sides after they're snapped back together. To be safe, I'd disconnect the battery and the computer to avoid shorting anything and ohm the connectors. Double check the salt and pepper shaker connectors (black and white) beside the EGR valve. (where the injector harness plugs into the main harness) There should also be an ignition resistor near the self test connector. Be sure you have power to it when the switch is in the run position.

Oops sorry. I ended up figuring it out. I didnt reconnect the gorund form the ECM/ECM relay and apparently the START and RUN key positions put the ocmputer on 2 differant electrical "systems"

Runs like a champ now!
