I just installed a BBK Off Road H Pipe. I bolted everything in, and connected the O2 sensors. When I went to start my car it sounded amazing, but when i went to shift into drive it wouldnt. For some reason it is stuck in park. I have no idea why this is. I have a 96GT Auto Trans. Is there a pipe made just for manual trans? Would that be why it doesnt work. I have to model number 1565. I was positive that was the right one. Could someone please tell me what I need to do to fix this. THANK YOU!

It sounds to me like your shifter linkage is caught by the drivers side o2 sensor. I had this problem somewhat with my long tubes. Sometimes, companies makes different ones for manuals and then ones for automatics. Can you by any chance get under the drives side of your car and look at your transmission pan and follow the linkage to see if its rubbing against an o2 sensor ?

I will check that out, are there any other possible reasons why this would happen? I double checked and this mid pipe works for both manual and automatic.

I'm with you DK...I bet the shifter linkage is blocked. Does the shifter move at all? If it does and won't move you may have knocked the linkage loose. It just snaps back on but you need to make sure what it is causing the problem first.
