I successfully installed my longtubes last weekend. While I was in there I put in a new set of plugs, same as my old ones, and replaced the motor mounts. After the install I noticed my car is now idling at about 850rpms when before it just hovered under 1000. My idle also surges now. It will stay steady at around 850 then drop down to about 500 as if its fighting to keep from stalling. When I start it in the morning it has stalled a few times on me. One other thing, I did notice that that my old plugs were showing signs that I was running lean. Do you guys have any ideas of what my problem could be?

I a novice at this at best. Which lines are the vacuum lines and where should I look for them at?

My crystal ball is on the fritz. Did you say you were driving a chevy?

That's why it is a good idea to use the sig under the user control panel (User CP) option. It allows you to post your car year & mods, which help greatly when troubleshooting things. No, it is not there for us to snoop and see any "Secrets" you have hidden away under the hood. Be a good stangnetter and update you sig for future reference & don't keep us guessing.

Check to see if you melted any vac lines etc too. My headers burned a hole in tube that feeds the cats from the smog pump 1st test drive 'round
