ok a few days ago i finished the install on my 03 GT. the car was running ok with Tims tune but the tune was off. i think it was for a manual. he send me another tune to fix my speedo/tranny problems but now the car is acting messed up. when i start the car, black and also white smoke comes out of the tailpipes. there is a strong smell of gas also. car sounds like its being flooded with gas. it doesnt idle right and dies. this happened the first time i started the car with the first tune but when i plugged the air hose that goes from the inlet to the discharge(i forgot to do it) and started it again, it smoothed out to normal. now its all jacked up again. oh ya, i also noticed that one of the wires that lead to the maf has been cut a little by metal edges in the engine bay. when i moved the wires, it sparked against the metal. (car was off but key set to on position). did i mess up my maf? is it the tune? could the plasma booster be messing up tims tune somehow? help anyone!

If you didn't notify Tim of the plasma booster, then yes, there will be issues.

You need to fix those wires asap, and it might have shorted out the MAF. Or could have shorted something in the computer.

You should probably post your issue in the appropriate forum at Tim's.

ok, changed the maf. still the same. car runs bad, black smoke, smell gas, eventually dies if i let it idle for a few minutes. now i want to cry. can someone who knows for sure tell me if its possible that i have damaged my computer? i mean is it possible to just mess up the part that goes to my maf? i checked all my fuses with a fuse checker device and they are register. im not sure what is meant by repairing the wire. its not cut all the way. just grazed the metal part inside the plastic. please someone help me out

Are you sure you have installed the chip good? Cleaned the contacts really well? I am going to dissagree with everyone else about the plasma boster causing an issue with the tune, since I don't see where any adjustments would need to be made for it.

OMG, it WAS the tune again! i installed the first tune he sent me and it ran fine. only this time the idle didnt seem as smooth and the exhaust bubbled alot. can anyone tell me what this means? anyways, it was ALOT better than the second tune but i cant use it cuz the tranny is messed up on the first tune. wow, this is very irritating... i was told that tunes can get messed up by being emailed but i didnt think it would be everytime... i know he is real busy so...oh well
