Installed my Magnaflow Axle Backs

So i installed my Magnaflow Competition (muffler delete) axle backs and they sound BEAUTIFUL!!!! it took me about 2 hours to put on, but it was easy. Just taking all the bolts off was time consuming. Thank you planetmagnaflow for the special pricing!!

How loud is it? Does it drone? I am thinking about a Pypes muffler delete system, but don't want it too loud. I don't enjoy headaches, LOL!

Mega yawn without video. I just installed Bassani axlebacks and although i love it, there is more drone than factory. I think that is to be expected and those who say they don't have it must be ignoring it.

My last 3 Mustangs have all had Magnaflow exhausts. I won't run anything else.

@darien87- I agree, I had magnaflows on my 04' mustang. They sound smooth and aren't too raspy.

I was leaning towards MF myself but too many reviews on AM said it was barely louder than stock so after listening to the vid clips at AM many, many times I went with the Bassani. I still like to listen to all the exhaust clips they have though. It's almost like music to my ears.

@Ateup- lol those reviews were wrong. See I got the MF competition which is the muffler delete. Its straight pipe. they are loud. Ill try to get a video today of my car and send it my you if my damn phone let's me.

Have you been in a 5.0 GT with the Roush axle back?... There is absolutely no drone with the Roush axle back in my car. You can set the cruise at 55, 65, 75, whatever and its as quiet as stock. You only hear the exhaust when you accelerate hard or if your outside the car.

Now my 5.7L Tundra with the Gibson cat back is a completely different story... you need ear plugs when my boats behind it....lol

To you maybe. I listened to sound clips of Borla's and they weren't for me. Didn't hear any in real life though. It's Magnaflows all the way for me. To each his own.

I'm going to Roush Friday morning to get mine (and installed). Had them on my 2007...and there was drone at 1750rpm. Glad to hear they have no drone now.

I think you'll like them. Our car is an automatic, which may make some difference in the exhaust note.... but the results should be similiar.

I like those rims Sparty! the red lip looks badass! how much did it cost you for all the rims? I was looking to do that to my rims.

Those are actually my winter "beater" rims. LOL
I have the Brembo wheels which are 19". And snow tires for 19" are REALLY expensive...about $1,100. So the guys at Discount Tire said they could get me into 18" wheels WITH Blizzaks...for about the same price. "Not possible," I said. Well, for $1,250 out the door, I have what you see in the pics.

The wheels are Drag DR-31 (I think)...in 18". They are flat black with a red stripe. They also come in no-stripe black, gray, silver, etc. The Blizzak DM-V1 is a 235/55/18. Kinda trucky, but it's for winter, and they work well.

If you just kinda divide the price in two...the wheels alone were probably $600 or so for 4? Of course, the numbers can be fudged (usually) when you're standing next to the register telling them how much you wanna spend.

I've been told I should leave them on year round...but...they are skinny. 18x8 I believe. And then I'd have to buy summer tires for them! I have the 19x9 OEM "Brembo" wheel with summer-only tires on right now...and I love those. Wish the tire was a bit wider though.

Definitely agree on the looks department, but I prefer the sound of the magnaflows.
