I just got finished installing some Lakewood 40516 90/10 drag struts on the front of my car. I took it for a spin, and it acts like it is holding down the front of the car instead of transfering weight toward the rear. I infact spin a lot more than I used to.

Whats going on here ? These things are supposed to push up my front end to transfer weight to the rear according to how hard I launch and it doesn't want to do it.. I have some UMI Performance lift bars for the rear, but they are not installed yet.

Am I missing something ?

I have the 70/30 struts but I have no front sway bar and I can fully extend them almost just by picking up on the fender. I also have the 50/50 in the back so th e stock ones maybe be limiting the travel some back there if you still have the stock ones on the rear.

Well I took the sway bar off earlier and that helped out a bit, but I don't think it is extending as far as possible. I can lift and twist the chassis with ease though by my hands.

The rear is completely stock although I do have some lift bars that are not installed. I should probably get some 50/50 struts for the rear.

On the other hand, body roll is very easy now. haha

ok, glad to see the rear 50/50 lakewood are a lot cheaper than the front.. so I just ordered them.. hopefully it will solve that little problem. Along with the lift bars and clutch being installed sometime soon.
