Hey

So I am going to Install my JLT CAI intake and I was thinking if there is a need to
clean\service the MAF and what product should I use or NOT use?

Thanks.

If your car is running fine then there is really no need to clean the maf. But cleaning it won't hurt anything as long as you are careful. To clean it, get some maf cleaner (aerosol can) from like autozone.

Just disconnect the battery when you install the intake and then re-connect it when you are finished so the ecu will re-learn whatever it needs to...

What would be worth cleaning if you haven't in a while is the throttle body. Since you are already taking the intake out, just take out the 4 bolts and remove throttle linkage, clean ... Food for thought ...

+1 on cleaning the t/b... You can also just use some brake cleaner to clean the MAF.. just when your pulling it out, as they ALL say be careful.. you can damage it very easy and that would suck...

Good luck!
