installing a mech. oil pressure gauge

i couldnt find any info on installing a mechanical one, only electric. am i crazy, or is it just so simple that i remove the stock sensor, and screw the fitting into the block? there is no sending unit on the mechanical one is there?

The hose that it comes with is threaded in (using the supplied brass fittings) to the block and the back of the gauge itself. You can put it where the factory sender is or you can get a tee and have th factory sender still functional. May want to be careful installing it inside the car as it can break or leak.

get braided steel lines and double check for kinks if you're going to install it in your car and you'll be fine

You can use a Tee to keep the stock sending unit and gauge functional. Or remove the hex tube and tap it for the mech gauge's fitting.
