installing a new oil pan

definately do as above ^^^, i didnt check my motormounts and somehow my starter wire became lodged in the motor mounts (they were shot on pass side) ended up frying the wire, starter, relay and battery all in one shot. if you get a chance re-route the starter wire away from the pass side motor mount

i just put a new motor in and after i put it in decided to add longtubes and when i jacked up the motor the pan got dented and leaks, so everything in my engine is new and doesnt need replacing, other then the oil pan, which is also brand new

This is how much extra room you have under the engine with a tubular K member compared to a stock k member. With the K member gone you have complete access to the oil pan. It is more difficult to install a pan gasket upside down but is done everyday.
