I have a stock upper and lower intake from a 1990 5.0. I want to know if it will fit on a now carb. 86' motor. I'm 99% sure that it will fit. Just wanting someone to affirm that it will fit.
Thanks Guys!

Yeah it will fit.

I guess you're going back to EFI.

Thanks! No I'm selling one of my two stock ones. The guy wanted to know if it would fit his 86 and I thought it would. No man I have one EFI and I love it. But my dad has EFI too and my brother has an 84 carb.

It is not so much the heads as it is the pistons.

E7TE heads will bolt up to an 86. They are the extreme however. Any head that requires more valve clearance than a stock E7TE head will have clearance issues.

All he wants to do is to change it out to an EFI for a cheap as he can.

Honestly, as much as this sounds like a a-hole thing to do, i'd just tell him "I don't know, I just know it's off a 1990"

Why? Cuz what if you get it wrong and the guy screws up his engine somehow or messes up something else?? He might not so much with an intake, but what if he buys a cam or some heads and bends a valve because the person selling said it would work.

When i sell parts, i try not to dish out too much tech with it. If you want to put it on a different vehicle or whatever, i leave that all up to the buyer. I just tell them what it came off and the condition and that's it. The less i say, the less responsibility I have.

a 90 intake will be a nice upgrade for the small 50ish mm original 86 intake
