what are the symptoms of a bad intake gasket? i here this is a common thing on the fox body. my car has 120,000 miles and is running like crap and i'm wondering if the gasket could be the problem.

Mostly if you have a bad intake gasket when you get on it you have blue smoke oil coming from the lifter gallery. Check your pluge are see if there rich or lean to see if one of your injectors quit. Also the o-rings around the injectors to the intake could be leaking. But the only way to tell this I think is to visual inspect. Good ruck

Intake gaskets on naurally aspirated engines will last until you take the engine apart. There is no pressure to "Blow" the gasket like there is for a head gasket.

Dump the codes and see what the computer says is wrong…

Here's the link to dump the computer codes with only a jumper wire or paper clip and the check engine light, or test light or voltmeter. I’ve used it for years, and it works great.
