A cobra or street heat would work well.

If monies tight...port the stock lower /upper...Theres a noticable change and its cheap money. A 95 Cobra would be an easy swap...no extra chit to buy.

Used Cobra's can be found for cheap. If you dont want used or a cobra Id go w/ the Street Heat.

The Cobra is hard to beat. Get TMOSS to port it.

Here's some pics of mine after I got it back from him: http://www.flickr.com/photos/wesratcliff/sets/72157602278334751/

If you're planning to change the heads/cam later on, I suggest you buy a new intake with the heads/cam and install everything in one go. In the meantime, you can either port the stock upper/lower intakes yourself or send them to Tmoss. I did it myself and I also ported my stock heads with excellent results.

If you can get the Street Heat for that price, assuming it's both upper and lower intakes, then I would go that route. One thing to remember about the Street Heat is the throttle body opening is 75mm. Just FYI. You'll also need the intake elbow adapter.

The cobra, as stated above, already has the extra things on it. This is a good intake but if you plan on getting afternarket heads and a cam down the road, this may not be the intake to get. You don't want to buy parts twice.

You will get better power from it once you have better heads. 100 shot is quick easy power but its up to you. Personally I hate nitrous.

Yeah dont forget about the adapator. They run about $98.00, but the Cobra intake already has the elbow bend in it.

It all comes down to what kind of power you want to make w/ the car. What size heads to you plan on putting on it?

how do i know its the street heat

The Street Heat has a powerband of idle-5500.
The Track Heat's powerband is 1500-6500.
To be for sure you are getting the Street Heat, you can find the part number and then look on www.summitracing.com to see which one it goes too.

i can still use my stock throttle bodie right

You can, but the opening is 75mm so the stock 60mm will be restrictive. You can always upgrade later on to a 70 or 75.

it will fit under my stock hood and strut brace

I believe it does.

the bottle should put you in the low 13's...I ran a 125 shot on a 100% stock motor with pullies, gears, K&N, and a MSD digital6+ box. The car ran a 14.3 on motor and 13.1 at 107 on the 125 shot on $89 street tires. I have about 200$ in the n2o kit and had hardly any mods and hardly any money in the whole setup with a car that straight up shocked a few people.

If you are running the stock/unported E7 heads...anything more than 1.7rr on the stock cam is a waste. The cam will be a waste as when you do get better heads you will need one to better fit those heads. If you put the cam in to match those heads performance and drivability will suffer.

I submit that the explorer intake will be the best for a stock motor. I read through a intake compare article in allformustang.com, in technical article section, which clearly showed that below idle to 5500 rpm was best served by the explorer, cobra, Gt-40 intakes. The eldebrock intake seemed for applications of 1500-7000rpm.
