Ok, Im still struggling with the fuel fittings, so I went to transfer over some parts from the old upper to the new upper.
First off, on the bottom of the intake, I dont have spots for 2 hoses.
Here is a bad pic of what Im taking about...
intake_hoses.jpg

On the bottom of the intake, I dont have the holes for the 2 on the right hand side of the pic. I can stopper the top left. and the piece on the bottom left will transfer over, but nothing on the right will. The little piece on the bottom left of the intake with the hose attaching to it from the bottom right, it came with that piece, but no place for the hose to attach. Do I insert that piece, then attach the hose from the engine to it even though it has no place to attach a hose on the other side. Last thing for the bottom of the intake lol, what do I do about the top right hose. Do I stopper it from the engine? There is no hole on the new intake. Do I need to make one?
Now on to the top of the intake lol. The place where the EGR spacer should be is confusing me. It has the spot for the egr, no problem. My problem is where the coolant hoses attach. It has a spot on the front of the "spacer" area for the hose to attach, but no space on the back for that coolant hose to attach. What in the heck do I do with that situation. Im a bit stumped guys, this is the first "big" install Ive attempted, and its showing unfortunately. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Yes, you do insert the piece. What kind of intake is it. That would help more. I'm pretty sure my intake didn't have any holes in the front that had hoses coming to them. Are you sure you took them off up there? Look at the stock intake again and make sure you are seeing everything right.

My bad, this is a Cobra Intake Im installing.
The crappy pic I drew on paint is the drawing of the bottom of the stock upper. I can post a pic of it tonight, Im pretty clueless with our new digital camera lol Ill have to have the g/f dl the pic so I can post it on here for you to see. There are no holes what so ever on the right hand side of the pic on the new Cobra upper. Only holes are on the left, and all of that will transfer over from the old upper.
I found my egr hose answer, Im just going to cap those.
Only concern I have now is what to do with those 2 hoses on the right side

If your looking at the front of the engine and you look on the upper intake on the front left of it, that line goes to the charcoal canister. The vacuum line just to the right of it (thicker) goes around to a two way valve on the bottom right side of your upper intake and continues on into the back bottom of the lower intake where your pcv valve is located at. On the back of your upper intake you have a little intake tree that comes out of the back of the upper intake. It has three possible hose connections. The thicker one goes to the firewall vaccum tree where it is labeled as “S” (it will be a little up and to the right of the upper intake on the firewall along with other abbreviations like “B/R” and “A/C”…but connect it to the “S”. The other two possible vacuum lines are easy. One is red (mine was) and goes to your fuel pressure regulator and the other one goes to your EGR I believe. Hope that helps on the connections.

The "pic" you gave doesn't seem to match how my lines go...it is almost like you have the upper intake swapped or something...I just couldn't make much out of it from my perspective. Hopefully the above will help though:shrug:

Good Luck:nice:

Here is a pic of that tree i think you are talking about.
That bottom hose running from the far left of the intake is the one that goes to the pcv right? If you look at where it goes onto the intake, you can see another hose coming from that same piece going further under the intake. My cobra piece came with the piece the hoses connect to, but there is only one place for a hose to attach to, which is where it runs to the pcv i think. do i not need to worry about that hose that runs underneath the intake? On mine, and Ill post pics tonight, it runs into the bottom right on my original "pic." The slot above it, upper right on the "pic" is a coolant line. My Cobra has no spot for it either. Should I cap that one like Im going to do my egr coolant lines??? I know where all the stuff from the tree hooks up to, I didnt know what it all did, but I know where it went. Now thanks to your post, I know both :nice: Im just confused on the underneath part of the intake.
Thanks guys

And what's more, he's right. It really doesn't make any difference what goes where as long as everything is connected & the leftover lines are capped.
