I just bought a 2003 gt I boughfrom a auction with no key so it was kind of blind purchase
Got it home had a key made and it runs but has a miss. Then I took it for a test drive got about 2 blocks away and white smoke out of the exhaust on the passenger tail pipe. I was a pretty good amount too.
Did some research and found out about the intake.
Well I happened to find a replacement one with the aluminum cross over in a bone yard for $30. I figured WTH, I can take it back if needed. Anyway got to digging on the car and it turns out I have a Ford intake with the aluminum cross over pipe already on the car. Pulled it out and there was water /coolant inside the intake. The back three plugs on the passenger side of the motor all have signs of moister/water.
Also the oil is a chocolate color.<--- I know that is NOT a good sign. But i'm REALLLLLLY hoping a leaky intake could possible cause that.
What do you guys think??? I did some reading online and some say water CAN NOT get to the plugs from the intake. So am I looking at a head gasket.
