what's better: C&L or Accufab. It seems that Acufab is consistently more expensive than C&L, is it just because it's looks "nice & shiny". I'm not concerned with the appearance of the plenum, just the performance and fit. Which is the better purchase?

Depends on what's more important to you. $100 in your wallet or 2-3 more hp. The accufab/tb combo will run you $400. A C&L plenum w/tb will cost you $300. The accufab will probably give you 2-3 hp more than the C&L setup.

So...save $100 or gain 2-3 hp more.

That's the decision you have to make.

Where did you see the accufab/tb combo for $400? Best I've seen for 75mm combo is $470 from Accufab's website and I'm looking to buy one soon...saving $70 would be good. Thanks.

Do a search, this topic has been beat to hell.

But as everyone has mentioned, the Accufab is better IMO. Looks alot better than the C&L.

if you have a blower on the car go with the dragon plenum.. you can get it @ steeda. if you have an NA, the accufab will put out the most power but only by a few hp. besides that it looks a lot nicer, it's up to you if you want to spend the extra $ for a couple of hp.

Get the C&L and port and polish that. There is a lot of room for improvement in that. 20 bucks in bits will probably gain the 2-3 HP you're looking for.

check out ebay as well. I mean it is a chunk of aluminum. it does not go bad. I bought a bbk accufab setup off ebay with 4 dyno runs on it for $300. As far as $100 for 2-3 hp that is better than some mods people do.

my .02 is buy the accufab. peak is not the end all. if you look at the graph there is more than 2-3 hp lower in the band. there is more like 5hp+ in the midrange. that is probably worth $100 on these cars.

Hey speaking of this, I heard that BBK was releasing one soon... Anyone know jack about it? I also heard rumor of a BBK Manifold as well... I hope anyway.
