I want to put a pair of the Ford Racing boss 302 valve covers on but I need to know how thick of a spacer I need to put under the stock upper intake half.
Has anyone used these valve covers and what can I expect??

Mine is only two inches though.

Stock hood? If you put too tall a spacer on, you may have interference issues. You should be ok with a 1" spacer but I would clay it up first before bolting it on.

Man, my EGR spacer rubs on my stock hood, and I'm using an Edelbrock Performer without a spacer. Although, I do have an aftermarket kmember and aftermarket motor mounts. That may make the difference.

Hood clearence is not an issue. There is a 4" cowl hood on the car.
The clearence I need to know is the intake to valve cover.

Well i think the holley has the biggest plenum so 3/4-1" should be fine if not order a different size i mean its not like they are that expensive
