I'm putting a GT40 lower and Factory Cobra upper on my GT. I'm having trouble finding bolts for the upper because I got the intake free from a friend and it didn't come with bolts. I'm about to order a spacer kit, because it comes with new bolts. I got to reading on the Trickflow spacer and it says something about having to do hood modifications. I'm gonna get a 3/8 spacer, planning on getting the Mr. Gasket brand. Does anyone know if I'll be able to close the hood with this spacer on? Has anyone done this?

I don't think you will have any trouble if the spacer is only 3/8". It might rub your hood blanket some. It seems a little pricey to buy a new spacer just to get the longer bolts. Put the lower on the upper with the spacer and measure the approx. length. Go to Lowes or Home Depot and get that length, one a little shorter, and another a little longer. Experiment until you find the right length.
