intake spacer question

will a one inch spacer fit with a stock hood with a gt40 manifold?

It's REAL close. I tried it on my '93 and the intake was touching the under hood insulation. It compressed the insulation some what.

I have an explorer GT-40 lower a 3/8 spacer and a GT-40 upper and that clears, bearly. I also have a Professional Products 70mm TB and the extra TPS adjustment that PP puts on their TBs caused my TPS to tear up some of the underhood insulation on my car.
