I have a 1965 mustang with a 1978 302 in it. It has the D8VE block and is mostly stock besides headers and exhaust. I'm wondering what intake manifold I should go with. I'm looking at the Edlebrock performer rpm and at some weiand intakes and wondering what would be best. I would be using a holley 600 with the intake thanks in advance.

Welcome to Stangnet Aaron.

I'll move your thread to our Classic subforum. The guys there will give you some help in selecting your intake.

Glad you joined us.

back when i had my 302, i had a typhoon aluminum intake. basically its a knockoff of the performer,(not performer RPM). i had a crane energizer split cam, longtubes, stock E7 heads, and a C4 tranny. while it only put like 190/225 to the wheels it felt peppy and had good throttle response even in my big 73.

I second the Performer/Performer 289. A 600 carb is plenty and a vac. Secondaries model or adjustable air flap will be easier to be streetable than a double pumper.
But, are heads and a cam in the works? The Air Gap intakes test well if you have hood and brace room. And if you upgrade the rest of the top end, a Performer RPM would fit the power curve better.
