Ok so I have had the car for a week and the money from selling off my aftermaket parts from my Maxima is rolling in.

I think I am going with the:
NEW JLT Series II 2005 & 2006 Mustang GT cold air induction kits / Tuner kits
https://www32.ssldomain.com/jlttruecoldair/products.php?make=Ford&model=Mustang GT&year=2005-2006

And some axle backs or maybe catbacks ( SLP or Borla )

I am looking for medium gaines in Hp nothing to extreme:

1 ) How much louder will the exhaust be w/ an intake?
2 ) which mod first?
3 ) Anyone know anything about the Ford Racing power package
http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=9398

Thanks,Mike

My 2 cents,

Go with the CAI and tune first.

Your not going to get any if much beyond sound from the exhaust.

The tune however is going to give you a lot more seat-of-the-pants bang for your buck.

Check out some of the package deals from www.JMSchip.com

I've been very impressed by their performance and prices.

CAI!

The axle back on the 05/06 is very good performance wise , so if power :Track: is what your looking to go with get the tune+CAI. Also what good is talking the talk if you can't walk away from the competition!

On a side bar my $.02 check out the JTI Tunable induction on Part Shopper (click on the link I made, also part shopper supports this :SNSign: forum!:SNSign: ). I love the great customer service/quality product/fast shipping. Nothing but good things to say about them and there prices.

hope that helps a little

Agreed, the factory exhaust has very little restriction, from years past..So by all means..go with a CAI and performance tune, before doing any other mods. you'll notice a very huge difference, in both torque and HP. gains, for sure..

Hey! I agree with everyone above. Go with the CAI and Tune. I highly recommend the JLT 2 and the XCAL II combination as that's what I have and I love it. Also, the Borlas are awesome as well!

I also agree with everyone. CAI and tune.

If you haven't purchased anything yet, check out www.bamachips.com .

You would be very pleased with the results of Doug's tunes on the SCT/XCALII and JLTII CAI.

CAI and tune first. If you are only going for an axleback system, then your are only going to change to the sound. The only thing that is restrictive on the factory exhaust is the exhaust manifolds and the cats. So if you what a good gain in hp and torque for the money get the tune and the CAI. You will be very happy with the results. Also look into a throttle body, I would recommend BBK over the others on the market. They use the same plastic gear that the O.E.M model does. The models with the brass gears have been having bindong problems.

If you're not convinced already, you probably never will be ...
But definately go with the CAI/tune first....I got my axle-back first and now i'm waiting on my cai/tune and wish I did it the other way around...even though I LOVE my SLP LM's....highly recommended!Good luck!

In reality, there is really very little restriction when it comes to the factory exhaust.. In fact, the factory exhaust manifolds, are much less restrictive compared to those from the now, outdated 94-04 days... Unless you plan on replacing the stock manifolds, with either equal length shorty headers or Long Tubes..you're not going to achieve any moderate gains anyhow, so unless you're willing to cough up $700.00- $1000.00 for long tube headers, you're just throwing you're hard earned money, straight down the drain..In addition, the stock cats are considered as, factory high-flow design cats, which are also much less restrictive and flow much better, compared to the factory exhaust systems, from 94-04...Otherwise, unless you intend on installing an off road H pipe, with no cats, it's just not worth the additional expense and IMO, is just completely useless..Therefore spend you're hard earned money, on mods that are proven to provide substantial HP. and Torque gains.. Anyway, if you're looking for the best bang for you're buck..Do a CAI and tuner mod, before anything else..:SNSign:

I love the sound of SLP loudmouths. but I have only heard them on a bone stock GT.

I mean soiund level not Hp. I know there will be no performance increase through exhaust.
