intake wistle...

I have a trick flow upper plenum BBK 70mm throttle body and cold air by BBk.The throttle body wistles and is there anything that can be done about it? Thanks

My intake does the same. It doesn't really bother me though. Its probably due to the type of filter aftermarket intakes use.

it happens, since you dont have the super restrictive intake on anymore, those kind of noise can escape. The only way to stop is go back to stock lol

I noticed a very pronounced "whooshing" sound when I did my plenum upgrade, I kind of like it.

yup,this is common.the stock setup is designed to eliminate those types of noises,i kinda like it too haha,you can actually hear that your parts are working haha

I also have a Trick Flow "plenum" with the stock tb and the stock air intake tube. Mine whistles, kind of like blowing across the top of a Coke bottle. It's a faint sound, mostly audible at part-throttle.

I'm about as sure as I can be that there are no leaks. I really think it's the design of the plenum that causes this whistle.

mine whistles constantly and i love it.....it did it really bad when i had just the 75mm throttle body and stock plenum....then i ported the stock upper plenum and it quit and i was sad....then i sold that and got the trick flow unit and started whistleing again so i was happy....i seen a buddy of mine on the interstate the other day and he calls me on my phone and says man somethings wrong with your car its whistleing at me.....then i kicked it and he said "oh..."

Yes, I took it to ford and it does not have a leak, it is the air by the throttle plate . rushing through the throttle plate. Said it is characteristic. and the stock one has a design for deadning the noise.
