I have recently become interested in Mustangs and would like to know more about Cobra's. I currently know absolutely nothing at all about Mustangs, all I know is that I want a 94+ Cobra.. Can anyone tell me about them, or direct me to a website that is full of Cobra facts? I would like to know how they perform and how easy they are modify please. Sorry if i sound like an idiot......Thanks!

Here's a good site...just click on ABOUT on the left hand side and it lists all the specs for cobras from 93 to 01

http://www.scoa.org

Also you can go to http://www.svt.ford.com for info on all SVT products and compare them against each other...

Hey the 1993 Cobra is also a nice car. I honestly like my 93 better than my 97.
SVT's website has the entire history of Cobra.

I personally like the 94+ body style, but why is it that you prefer the 93'?

Missouri guy: Sites were just what I was looking for!

Thanks

I like the 93 better because you don't see that many around. My 97 gets lost in the crowd. The 93 doesn't so much, it turns a lot of heads and I get thumbs up all the time. IMO, I have more fun with the 93 than the 97.

one big question is how much money do you plan on spending, initally on the car. When I was looking 3 months ago, to find an old cobra with low miles, expect to see some expensive used mustangs. I found a 97 with 96000 miles on it for 10500. If you expect to replace things as I did, you shouldn't be disappointed. 5.0 are cheaper to mod, but I kinda like the 6800 redline, the car revs for ever. once again 5.0 more low end torque, 4.6 dohc higher redline. Honestly I think my 97 has plenty of torque stock, but what fun is stock. good luck on what ever you decide.

I would really like to keep it under $8,000. I don't plan on getting one right away, i'd like to wait until about mid-summer when I have more money saved up, and then if I have to, I would get a loan for the remainder.

Even if the 5.0's are easier to mod I think I like that stock 300 horsepower in the 4.6's to much. How much harder are 4.6's to mod than 5.0's?

Thanks!
