My brother's 94 Gt had fire damage due to a faulty headlight switch, it destroyed the dash, seats, headliner, and wiring on driver side. The question is, does the wiring from a v-6 the same for the dash wiring? He only had liability insurance so he wants to repair if possible. Any onfo would be greatly appreciated

The entire dash assembly is identical for 94-95 V6, GT and Cobra. It's the reason the GT and Cobra have a OBD-II port by the driver's right foot, when the V8 is an OBD-I system. You'll need a GT instrument cluster of course. The wiring harness is different depending on if the system had a Mach 460 sound systme installed from the factory or not. If from the factory, the Mach 460-specific wiring is wrapped in the dash harness. If a dealer add-on package, it's separate and just clipped to the dash harness. The only other difference is between Auto and Manual - there's an electronic box on the far right edge of the dash, behind the glove box that's needed for an auto tranny. Won't hurt a manual to have it there.

ok thanks! Is the computer in the same place as the Foxbodies?

Yeah, same place as the foxbodies.

Thank you for sharing this story. The headlight switch is notorious for melting the harness, but I've never heard of one catching on fire. I think I'm going to make it a point to change my headlight switch harness out after hearing this.
