Interior - gauge bezel etc - help

Here's my situation..

Full black interior is out of a 92, so it has the air bag modified stuff.

I have the steering wheel and column cover from the 89, and i'm pretty sure the gauges are from the 89.

You can see here how it doesn't line up.

How can i make this look cleaner? are the gauge bezels different from air bag cars to non air bag cars?? I'm not too worried about the bottom, but i want the top part to look clean.. where the gauge bezel meets up with the column cover.

Thats the thing, i didn't do the swap so i have no old parts to play with.

I have to use the non-airbag column cover, because the air bag one is about half the length, due to the air bag wheel being 3 inches thick, where as the non-airbag wheel is about 1.5 inches thick.

Does anyone know if the gauge bezels (black thing that the light switches clip into) are different from air bag cars and non air bag cars?
