I am taking the interior out of my car....have a couple questions....how does the center console come apart? Also...I have almost the entire dash out of the car....I am left with the piece behind the gauge cluster and the pad above the heater controls? What do I have to do or take out to get the rest of it out? How do the pillars come out and the molding around the front of the roof and along the top of the doors?? Thanks for you help!

First you need to take off the armrest, there are little covers that conceal the bolts for that. Then you need to take off the trim around the shifter and the shifter plate. I think there are screws in the front by the shifter and under the armrest to remove the top of the console. Once you have that out and all the electrical unhooked there are bolts towards the back of the console and two screws on each side under the dash. To get to the screws you need to swing your glove compartment all the way to the floor by pressing in on the sides. Unhook any trunk release button, take out the screws. On the driver side you need to take off the trim under the steering wheel to get at those two screws. Now just lift up on the center console in the back. You might have to put your shifter all the way back. Persuasion.

To get the dash pad out you have to remove the whole dash. If you have some specific questions ask me, i just did this job and reinstalled the interior.

This is a good tech article although it might be kind of hard to understand. If you have more questions go ahead and ask.

When i took mine out i accidently stripped the two screws on left side of the dash, they were just too tight. I ended up drilling them out.
