i had posted a question once before asking about removing interior spray paint off some panels in an 89 mustang restoration project i got... i noticed some of the paint was peeling, and have since gotten a bright idea to remove all the possible panels and pressure wash them, and try and removing the paint that way. now before i go and do this and possibly tear the panels up i thought i might ask on here and get a few opinions on this... thanks

I found that brake cleaner works great on interior panels. I normally use it to clean trim parts before dying them anyway, but when I was preparing my trim stuff for the 88, I found that some of them had already been painted/dyed...the brake clean took all of it off and left me with perfect panels to dye.

I just used brake clean, sprayed everything down and compressed air to blow them dry. Let them sit in the sun and begin dying them. Worked great for me, all my panels look OEM black. I can clean them with normal interior trim cleaners and they shine up nice.

that will work... do i need to scrub the carb cleaner or let it run off ? i am going to give that a try and if it doesnt work i may pressure wash them afterwords..lol.. thanks for the advice

the interior panels are grey underneath so if i can get it cleaned up i am just going to leave it grey.. if not i will have to start trying to find interior pieces
