Since I'm planning on replacing the carpet, laying down some dynamat over the floorboards and getting some new racing seats I decided I may as well go the extra mile and repaint the interior while everything is out of the car.

How have you guys prepped this job? Did you use primer before applying paint to the interior after sanding all the old paint off, is it necessary? Any advice, info into painting the interior such as what type of paint to buy, etc...would be greatly appreciated.

A lot of vendors carry the paint in cans for this with an amazing amount of colors for each year. Use paint on the metal and dye on the vinyl and plastic. Plastic and vinyl need a prep which also comes in a can. Metal just needs to be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol or pre painting prep, also available in a can.
