I am curios as to how many ppl do NOT have the Interior Upgrade Package (change the colors of your display)?
I've been looking at some inventories and noticed a lot of stangs that did not have it.

I generally use the Blue. I did enjoy the blood red over the xmas holidays.

I have it, but I have never taken it off the factory blue setting or even tried any of the variations..........

Mine didnt have it, build date 11/04. I think few of the cars built in 04 had it. None of them on the lot where I bought mine had it.

Didn't get it on my 06. Only thing I miss is the extra gauges, but I didn't want to shell out $450 for that and a trip odometer.

I got it on mine, I thought there was too much black without the satin accents. I like the MyColor gauges too, although the red isn't red enough for me, seems too pink.

You get a trip computer, calcuates MPG, etc. also. And the price also includes the trim on the dash. Add this after manufacturer and you will pay much more than $450.

its the simple things that count,,, i really like it ever once and a while i change the color, i think its worth it, instead of getting a plane black dash and no extra gauges

You can add (or you could if the wiring harness is in place) the trip computer with My Color and all that. I think the My Color is highly overrated. What's the big deal? I like the trip computer and guages, though.
That alone costs more than the $450 for the whole package if you wait after it is built. This has been covered many times on these forums.
I would think the other parts on the dash can be added but would be very, very expensive.
If you even think you might want it, get it with the car and save yourself hundreds of dollars.

ford changed the wiring during production. many people have tried to upgrade the cluster and could not because the newer built cars didnt have the same harness as the earlier cars. the early cars had a harness for all the options, but the later cars had the harness for just what was in the car.

I have the proper harness - without the My-Color instrumentation option ...

*** but really,,, all I want out of the whole package is the mileage calculator

As I understand it, there's a big problem with this retro-fit,

> Its a Dealer Only Install <, due to the fact that Ford has some security code settings that wont let the car start without changing over.

If it was a true do-it-yourself / turn-key purchase, then yeah! - I'd do it in a minute.
