Electrical Intermittent Use Of Power Windows??

What causes the power window buttons to be intermittent? So times they roll down when I get in and sometimes they don't. It's like the buttons on both doors go dead together as neither works.

Thanks for the suggestions/comments.

Usually, dirty switches. Remove, take apart, clean contacts, and reassemble.

Like he said, get some electrical contact cleaner from the auto parts store or Radio Shack and go to it...

To confirm, this happens with multiple windows and/or switches at the same time?

Mine was doing this also and ended up being the window motors. Rock Auto has some good deals on them.

Yes both windows die together as in neither set of switches on either door will move a window. My passenger side has always been slow (16yrs and counting) but they both fail to do anything. Then I will get in it on another day and everything is fine.
