So how will everyone be hooking up their Ipods to the new stereo. I was looking for some package where I could us a wireless remote attached to the steering wheel, but I am thinking that might not be to safe. Either way after searching for a day I am still unsure of what will be the best products to buy. I just want to the car charger, a good audio cord to hook into the stereo, and hopefully someplace to put the thing when I am driving and trying to change songs. Anyone else thinking of options? I would be interested in seeing your ideas.

I was thinking of running the stereo wire onto the console and pulling it out of there when I need it. I think playlists are going to be my best friend.

Peripheral Electronics just came out with an Ipod to car kit. It allows for the CD player to control the Ipod. Would be worth checking out. It's available in a variety of places, I think discount stereo.com has it.

Alpine has a head unit for $200 that will control it (all controls in the unit) and also a direct satellite feed. See related post on Alpine. The kits to hook up your ipod are almost as much and you still have to use the ipod to find your tunes.

Im just gonna get an AUX cable and put the thing in the cup holder or maybe one of those duble sided rubber things that stick to the dash and hold the ipod in place.

I guess I will see in the future, but that might end up being all I do then just stick the thing in the armrest console when I am not using it.

I think you will be surprised at how much the cable alone costs and how much installation is unless you do it yourself.
