Mustangs from 0-1 to 0-9 are identified by 09 or what ever, But talking about a 2010 mustang seems funny to say 010 and to say two thousand and ten is just to much for us lazy Americans, so which is it 010 or just 10 or 2010?

Saying twenty-ten or ten would be correct. Ten correct, it just sounds funny because it's only 1 short syllable.

It was funny. When 2000 hit, it took a while to figure out how to shorten it.

2010 or just '10.

Oh-ten makes one sound like they aren't sure about how many digits are in the current year, in my spin. Oh-ten makes me think they believe the model year is 20010.

It hurts my ears to hear it.

When people say "10 Mustang," I envision a group of Mustangs (two short of dozen).

When people say "oh ten Mustang," I understand that to refer to the 2010 Mustang.
