I have had surging issues with my car since I installed the trickflow HCI kit.
The car has a 73mm C&L with a filter that sits in the engine bay. Car ran fine with this setup untill the install. I have gone throgh the checklist with vacuum lines and such. Recently I did the t-5 swap and hac the throttle disconnected, after this the car ran great for about two days and gradually went back to its old surging ways. I am sure this rules out vacuum lines and fan wash because the car will run fine on a "fresh" computer. Do you guys think this is the C&L and the computer is trying to adjust for it or is my computer (still the auto computer ) just being weird?

Fresh computer = Dumb computer (relearning mode)

A codes scan in terms of looking for some O2 sensor readings after its learning is done would help getting information to tackle the surging idle. What auto did it have installed? LUK

I went froma an AOD to T-5 and retained the stock computer. It is not lightning the check engine light. I pulled codes and have only EGR related codes. My egr is currently on the TB spacer but does not function.
The electrical connector is there but no vacuum source.

See the sticky "Help me create the Surging Idle Checklist" at the top of the forum for help with your idle problems.

Fan wash will definitely mess up your idle.

That would help. A trip to Home Depot for some PVC pipe & dryer duct could help you make your own CAI kit.
