Thanks for the input . My problem actually goes away under higher loads in 5th @ 1500RPM...its just maintaining speed that gives me problems...or maintaining RPMs out of gear.

similar problem on my 01, at just under 2k rpms constant, i had a slight miss. no where else n the rpms. i didnt care about it as nothing ever came of it. it started when i put in the off the shelf old school superchip and went away when i removed it
It has to be the EGR tube or valve.......the egr is actually designed to recirculate exhaust gasses to help improve the idle.........with a brand new egr valve it went away for a bit but came back.........its just the gasses recirculating i guess...I just bumped my set screw up a bit............feels ok now....
Well its been about 6 months since I installed the plugs and gapped them LOL. I did it not long after we pulled the car down haha.
I thought it was .035, but I was between that and .032.
In any case before I did anything, I PMd Tim @ MPH (Yea when his screen name still accepted PMs...like I said long ago hahah) and told him what I was doing...... he told me which plugs to buy (NGK BR7EFs I think) and what to gap them to. So I did that haha. So yea it may be .032 .

on a side note ALOT of my low RPM drivability issues went away. I decided to put the clamp that goes behind the MAF back on (I left it off to prevent my going into boost...and figured that venting some metered air would make the car go rich if I gave it too much gas)....apparently it was leaking at part throttle and venting metered air constantly, so it was screwing things up. Now its back to how it was before I pulled the car down...still has the 1500RPM miss, just not as bad, still bucks at low RPMs but not nearly as bad.
My low RPM hesitation is also gone....it was a pain to take off because if you didnt give it anough gas, when the clutch grabbed it would dip the RPMs alot and then it would quickly pick back up as im giving it gas to try and make it go, making for a crappy takeoff.
I felt like bringing this thread back from the DEAD!!! I just gapped my coppers to .035 because my tuner reccomended it. and Had done it on my last set of coppers that I ran 30K with. Runs good no problems...
