I have 5000 more miles of warranty left and the CD player doesnt like to give me my CDs back without a fight. Is that something that would be covered?

I wonder if they would have to see it happen since its not every time. I also wonder if they would replace it or try and fix it.

Well, like every other problem we car owners have, it most likely won't be recreated when you bring it in. But I bet they'd be willing to take a look at it. Chances are they won't sit there and argue with you over something that mundane.. if it were something bigger like say "engine misses .. every so often," then it might be a different story.

I'd bring it in.

YES....YES IT IS

Even though mine was under my extended waranty...still paid for it when i paid the deductable. Take it to Ford; they are well aware of the CD player CD ERROR. It won't get better. Eventually your CDs will not come out or play. Thats what happend to me. Took it to ford, they yanked it, had my new one the next day and had my CDs back in three weeks

yes, it is. i had the same problem. i couldnt get my cd's out and it wouldnt play them either. even if they cant re-create the problem they should take care of it. only thing is make sure you tell them how many cds you have in there because they will have to send it off to get it fixed. you'll be lucky if you get them back. when mine came in and the dealer reinstalled it, the cd's were gone. it was only after i asked the service rep about them that he said "oh yeah, i think we have them in the back" so i got them back, but had i not said anything i'm sure one of the techs would have 6 of my cds right now

My car is at the dealer for the stereo along with the rubbing passenger seat on the door panel and the drivers seatbelt not retracting.

They said they have to have the Ford stereo guys come out and look at it. I didnt know there was such a thing. Hopefully Ill have a new one by the time I get it back!

Mine does the same exact thing! Unfortunately, mine wasn't covered. They told me the best they could do was either order a new one and have me pay the $600 for it, or give me the guys contact info that puts all their aftermarkets it. I paid the guy $40 to fix it--it was a jammed cd. It did it again about a month later-so I attempted fixing it myself. It's kind of a pain, but I managed to get everything apart and fix the cd that had been off track.

If it does it again after the warranty is up then its time for an aftermarket changer for sure.

Mine does it almost every time I take a CD out...basically I either stick another cd in there and pull it out and then the cd comes out and lately I hit the dash really hard and the cd seems to come right out...

They replaced the CD mechanism or something like that, not the whole unit. I was wondering why my presets were in the new stereo when I pulled out of the dealer. As long as it works then I dont care!

This is a common problem with the 6 disk cd changer. When I first started looking into a stang I came here and that was one of the negatives. Personaly I havent had trouble removing them, but every so often I have trouble playing my tunes.

Wonder if the 05's are having the same issue's ??

My does that every 6 months. I remove the radio, take off the front face, and clean (with rubbing alcahol) the bottom grey rubber roller that pushes the CD's out. Works like new for another 6 months till it gets greasy.

It should be covered BUT if its because of cd that you have burned and/or labeled yourself .You will be SOL..Burned cd's can cause a player to malfunction and is not a covered item.

don't even bother getting it replaced.. mine has been replaced once already and Ford couldn't even put it back in there right and they broke it while installing it. I can pull it right out and they didn't even bother fixing it . This one is already doing the same thing, I'm just gonna replace it with an aftermarket
