Anyone notice a problem with the site's search engine lately I try to search for things that are obviously somewhere in the forums and it turns up with no results...

Try searching from the tech forum instead of the talk one.

You can sometimes get Talk threads by backdooring it through Google.

I mostly search late at night and sometimes the search engine can't find its butt with its server's hands.

"This is Hal. I'm sorry but your search yielded no results. Please wait 30 seconds before we have this same discussion again. Thank you."

EDIT: I should have noted that it often does work, even late at night. It seems to go in clumps when it doesnt wanna play nice - probably when they're doing some behind-the-scenes updating on the site, server or something else.

They do a great job keeping the site up though - especially if this is our biggest gripe.

The search engine must be a modular.

BTW, if you do a search on anything in "5.0 Mustang" ... it will pull up 94-95 TALK threads.

You just can't directly search in the 94-95 talk section for some reason.

my gripe with search is some things aren't searchable like " H&R's " , now if i wanna know more about this spring how the hell am i suppose to find out about it.. it causes people to repost similar topics...and then, not so much on this forum but other forums they would complain about that topic has been covered please use search function, lol

unless im missing somthing.... maybe someone can talk to an admin about this
