5.0s start to have issues here, most will hold but say hello to blown HGs, oil blowby from having an old asss motor so the dipstick shoots out oil and pcv blows out...so many little things. lhope you dont split the block

both cars are good platforms for modding, i think its funny to see people saying its so cheap to mod the 5.0 though.

yeah but also look att he technology. the 5.0 is a lot older then the 4.6

the 4.6 also starts out with 260HP vs the 5.0's rating of 215HP

No offense to you New Edge guys but i see atleast 10-15 GT's a day. I think the '94-98's will go the way the Fox, i see a few '94-'98's a day but almost all are v6's. Very seldom do i see a GT or a cobra, let alone a fast one.

I personally think the 94-98 body style will end up the most popular of the late model stangs(79-up) but not for several years...
I see 10-15 fox/94-98/and 99-04's daily and some are still really nice and clean. It is alittle different here since there are alot of people crammed in to alittle space so you will find more used cars for sale. I have been seeing alot of the 94-98 on the used car lots and the prices are starting to creep up which is nice.

I don't see that many foxes and the ones I do see are in bad shape. All the 94-98s I see are GTs or cobras. I don't remember the last time I have seen a v6 94-98. The 99-04s I see are mostly V6 so when I see another GT 94-04 I know they are a mustang enthusiast. I also see a lot of V6 05+ running around.

I have seen a LOT of fox body cars around my area... In fact, my buddy has 5 at his house. 1 is a drag car and another one is a drag car in the making and the other 3 are daily drivers with good power and in good shape.

94-98's in my area are usually in horrid shape and run like crap. I see a lot of them, but hardly ever a nice one.

99-04's are usually in good shape around here and are 'dime a dozen'

S197's seem to be growing in numbers in my area.. very quickly. Half of them that I see are GT's.

So... I guess it just depends on your area.

Anyways in my area i always see new edge v6's. sn95 (94-98) i rarely see and yes i know some people say 94-04 are NE, but ummm i one of them who doesnt say thhat.

when my car was stock no one would nod or anything. I would, they would ignore me. Hell i got more nods in my stock 86 4 banger fox. (it was minty, but it was still a 4 banger) Hell even got races from guys twice my age in 69 mach1's and such lol.

Now that its modded i get nods and revs all the time, and most people are actually afraid to line up. I think they think i have more done than i do, i think it has something to do with the raked stance. Nonetheless i absolutely love the way my car looks and in my opinion the 1999-2000 mustangs are the best looking of the bunch. And i like the factory upgrade 17's better than the bullits... i dont know... i felt the same way before i bought my car, i guess its just the sleekness of the 99-00's, they look like an arrow or something. I dont like the big sidescoops and the big hoodscoop, plus the spoiler on the 2000's is the nicest... although no spoilers looks better. I think the 99-04's are going the way of classic sports car, while the fox is sort of in a class of its own. the 94-98's might join it in the muscle car section, the 99-04's look more like a hybrid sports/muscle car to me.

to me this looks like an arrow... i dont know, its just my opinion... Actually maybe a bullet describes it better... some sort of a projectile though, i often find myself calling it a missile.

Personaly, I think everyone saying that the SN95 body style is more popular because you see more of em on the road arent taking into account that the reason you're seeing so many is because they are newer.How many 70's Mustangs were on the road in the early 90's? I was lookin at my oldest sister's high school yearbook a few years back(she graduated in 86, I graduated in 91) and noticed that at least 4 or 5 kids were driving mustangs from the 60's, and when I was in high school there where 11 guys driving fox Mustangs of various age. The early 80's Fox is considered to be the reason for the resurgence of the popularity of the Mustang-they just about died out in the 70's. and then the mass air 5.0 came out due to SVO technology, and the racers took notice as to how much power could be tweaked out of a EFI motor. Well that got the aftermarkets attention, and Boom!lLots of parts, Lots of manufacturers, resulting in relatively low prices for performance. Viola!new generation of Mustang enthusiasts, although surging like never before. NOw look whats happening with the mod motors. Its the exact same cycle. For 4 years the mod motor aftermarket was virtually nonexistant. Then in 2000, I started seeing articles about cam swaps. And aftermarket intakes for the 4.6 havent even begun to scratch the surface of whats available for EFI and Carbed 5.0s. Yeah, the 5.0 block may split after 600 hp, but they're design is 30 years old, with aftermarket manufacturers making small improvements.Its not a matter of better, it's a matter of time that determines a model's significance and following. Put a stock 92 notch 5 speed against a stock 96 5 speed, and the 5.0 has the edge.There are certain areas where one is more popular than the other, but I find it hard to believe that the Sn95 "bodied" cars will push the pre 94 cars into oblivion, unless the significance of the 80's-90's fox is lost on the newer generations of young enthusiasts. But look at the prices 60's and 70's cars are commanding, and then look at the prices for clean, low miles foxes in the autotrader, and you can clearly see that they are following the same trend into collector car status. It will be a few years before that really hits, but its comming.As I stated before, Its not a matter of better, it's just a matter of time.

i see a sn95 every time i go outside. its clean its fast and under 100k in mileage. but i dont see a lot of v8's in this body style. only a hand full of them around this part. lots of foxbodys though, some nice some not. i also dont think the sn95 will be up to snuff with the foxbody in terms of popularity? mostly in part of the 5.0's being a dime a dozen and parts-o-plentiful. only time will tell for sure.

Its funny there were way less 5.0 police units in sevice verses 4.6. but i still see Crown Vic lights and a light bar and go "aww crap, 5-0"
