Does anyone offer a longer EGR tube for people who want to use the 1" Phenolic Spacer? I can't delete it (new emissions laws in effect now here)

Just get a silicone hose w/ 2 clamps and connect them together w/ that. Works great.
And no, the egr tube is mounted onto the header, and cannot be extented w/o welding a new tube in place or welding an extension.

well i guess i cant say for sure it will work with the 1" spacer. send them an email maybe you will need two of them so maybe the silicone hose will be cheaper

just ordered two of them (as well as a few other odds and ends I've been meaning to buy). I should just drive over there and get them, it's a little over an hour away

I think you can buy that exact part at hardware stores. I work at ACE hardware and all that is is a simple flare fitting thats probably like 2 bucks.

I don't know if I would use silicone. I fabbed one out of soft copper tubing and a flange kit from the local hardware store. Worked great been on now for two years. Let me know if you wanna picture.

No way, how does that work for you. I did that like a year ago as instructed by some people on here. My silicone hose doesnt last for more than 2 weeks before it burns through and blows. I have tried 3 different types of tube and they never last i just keep replacing them, so gay.mo_dingo said:

yeah your better off with 2 of them adapters i only have one it works buts its not very tight on there

what size is the fitting on the header and egr valve? seems like a natural gas line for like a dryer or something similar would work perfectly. metal flex line should hold up????? alot cheaper than the overpriced stuff on the internet. i cant believe they can charge 50 dollars for an egr tube

I am really interested in this subject and nobody really has a lasting, easy solution. I have even called BBK and Trickflow (both make spacers) asking why they don't sell sn95 spacers as kits that come with the correct EGR tube. Especially BBK because they already make egr tubes for there header kits!!! Both companies said they have not thought of doing that and have no plans to?!

Get some 5/8 copper tubing. Cut your stock tube in half to get the nuts off.
Bend yourself a longer one out of the copper tubing, and put the nuts on and flare it. Worked for me (Long enough to pass Smog, then I took it back off and capped them....)

Yup, that is the right way to do it. Most people don't know how to use a flare tool nor welding copper. I would get a double flare kit just to be on the safe side. It makes for a longer lasting flare if you ever have to disconnect it and reconnect it.
I wonder what hose you were using to connect your EGR tube Whitedevil. It's worked for many others. Maybe they got some sort of high temp hose or something.

I added a heat sock around the tube to protect my rubber hoses buy I think you can see the result. The copper will change color due to the excessive heat but thats it.
