is this aftermarket or stock.

i just pulled a cam out of my 87 HO block and it has no ford markings on it. i also have a 91 HO out of a tbird and it has a crosshatched looking band cast all the way around the can in between the cam gear and the first lobe. the 87´s cam did not. on the back of the last journal on the 87 cam , it had a few letters, something like mtm or something and a 1 on it too. not too much that describes it though. could this be aftermarket or not. is there anyway to find out the specs on it by taking it to a shop or something.
