master cylinderReplace that worn out master cylinder with this remanufactured one. Sold outright. SVO application is a replacement for the 1984-86 SVO master cylinder. It is also used for other 4-wheel disc brake applications on 1979-93 Mustangs

brake P/VAllows independant adjustment of the rear brakes.

You're gonna need the rear disc e-brake cables. There are a total of 3 of them. Also, I would suggest getting a 94-98 brake booster/ master cylinder. With the stock master cylinder, the pedal is going to be a little bit too hard.

Do you have all the correct softlines for the front and rear. How about brackets? What brake parts are you using? SN95 stuff or are you just using lincoln rotors for the front? Just give us some more details as to what you are using.

are you doing a 5lug/4wheel disc conversion or only 5lug?

o my bad...im using a 96 cobra rearend (yes i know its wider) and 98 GT front brakes.....i think i can just take the spindles off the ball joint and put it on mine...ive got all the lines off the cars and i figuard i could just buy some fitting to connect them to mine....where can i get the Ebrake cable?

An SVO MC will not work with those brakes.

You should look for a 94-95 GT or 94-98 V6 MC to use.

Interesting to see you using '98 GT front brakes with a '96 Cobra rear. The rear disks will be about 11.65" while the fronts are 10.8.

It will work, as long as you dial back the rear bias with the adjustable prop valve.

In the future, you might want to upgrade to 13" Cobra fronts or at least get 99-04 GT/V6 dual piston calipers to balance it out better. Either is a direct and easy swap later down the road once you have done the conversion

you're going to need a .330" spacer or the equalivalent size of washers for the balljoint. And you know that the front track is going to be wider with the 98 spindles, right?

about 8mm wider each side actually.

SHouldn't be a prob if he uses Sn95 wheels. If he goes aftermarket, he'll have to take it into consideration when determining offsets.

yeah im planning on gettin cobra brakes for up front some time or another but the GT will have to do for now........so i guess im gonna have to find a different MC.....that souldnt be to hard to find......also...is there anyway i can use the stuff from the front of the cobra w/o making the front wider??

You'll refer back to it many times and will answer 99% of your questions. The site owner also sells common 5-lug conversion parts and I believe parking brake cables are one of them. There's a list of that sort of stuff on there though.

Maximum Motorsports also sells brake components that you may need, like the master cylinder, for one.

Don't forget the aftermarket adjustable prop valve, the plug to gut the stock prop valve and the 3-2 conversion kit.

And which fittings are you speaking of? He's got some fittings on there, which are the rear adapters.

Did you end up finding a master cylinder yet?

Disc Brake Cables should be FMS Parts

M2909A (2) rears
M2810A (1) front

And you have to make a simple mod to the handbrake, minor cutting and a little weld.

I did all this work tonite (finally). I even came up with a bit of an improvement to help adjustability (nothing to write home about but still). Ill put up a pic tomorow.

I purchased a 98 Cobra Handbrake for the Leather and then made my mods to it, it looks great in my car! One thing I found out the hard way was that its best to install that center cable BEFORE welding the pawl as its a PITA to get in there after its welded!

what are you talking about 3-2 conversion kit....yeah i ment to put the prop valve,,,just forgot........and yes i found the MC at a local parts house...looking for the 94-95 spindles now

Master cylinder adapter kits.

Downside is the kit is NOT worth $35. All thatcomes in it is $5 worth of fittings and such. I beleive Matt90GT sells it cheaper on his webpage. I wish i could tell you what size fittings to buy, but they are very odd sizes and tough to find in parts stores.

awesome.....one more question...would you just get a new MC and bolt it up to your stock brake booster or would you go ahead and get the 94-95 booster too???? my plans as of now is to just use the stock one
